Dept. of Treasury & Finance
Background
With the need to accommodate growing staff numbers the Department obtained the lease for level 4 of Governor Stirling Tower. With a vacant floorplan to work with the aim for the new premises was to provide a comfortable environment for staff and visitors alike.
Creating a warm and welcoming statement was a priority for the entrance. The look needed to be contemporary and stylish whilst remaining understated. Walls in the lobby were clad with timber panelling with a tessellated patchwork of neutral toned fabrics and painted glass forming the backdrop for visitor seating areas. The back of house was made up of open plan workstations all located against the glazed perimeter allowing the natural light to flood into to core of the space. Warm white screens were specified to maintain the feeling of lightness and to create interest in the workstation environment feature screen panels were inserted along the corridors.
