Snap Franchising

Background
Without the option to renew the lease on their current premises, Snap Franchising chose to relocate their head office from East Perth to a new building in Burswood. Leaving behind a space which boasted spectacular views overlooking the Claisebrook Inlet. The challenge presented to Evoke was to create a new fitout that was internally visually stimulating and functionally superior to that of the old space and through design create an energetic and dynamic vibe for the staff.

Approach
Starting from the reception and moving through the boardroom, staff amenities and training room a constant backdrop of cool white, soft curved edges and blocks of saturated colour set the tone for the space.
Looking for a designer edge rather that the tired and over used ‘Feature Colour Walls’ approach EVOKE sort to instill vibrancy and impact whilst still maintaining a link to Snap’s corporate brand. Brand inspired colours are woven into the details of the cabinetwork in the form of canopy bulkheads and cladding details. The cool white surroundings enhance the large scale printed graphics that adorn the walls throughout. The graphics were
custom designed by the design team at Snap Burswood.
In the back of house working environment, making the best use of the access to natural light was vital. The decision was made to locate the offices internally thus enabling the workstations to be located centrally allowing the natural light flooding in.

Challenges
Desiring a team based environment meant constant visual contact between all staff members was a key element of the design brief. Full height glazing was used for the frontage of all the offices along with careful consideration for the orientation of the workstation desks. This in conjunction with low height workstation screens meant maximum eye contact with minimal movement was achieved.
Having come from a very basic workstation setting EVOKE used the opportunity to visually enhance the look of the back of house working environment via designing a customized workstation module. The result being a resolved workstation system which not only added splashes of vibrant colour, but functionally addressed the clients need for customized storage solutions to cater for the working styles of the different departments within the organization.
